Darjeeling’s toy train: A true joyride down a heritage trail

The "Queen of the Hills" has yet another new jewel in its crown. 

Lonely Planet has recognised Darjeeling among its top 50 places to visit on its Best in Travel 2027 list. It has also deemed the UNESCO World Heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway's toy train ride, which has been chugging up and down the Himalayan hills since the late 1800s, "as the best for a toy train journey".
