What it's all about

Presented by Kolkata Centre for Creativity as part of AMI Arts Festival 2026, The Heart Song: Beyond the First Note brings together Parvathy Baul and saxophonist-composer George Brooks for a musical exchange between Bengal’s Baul tradition and jazz. Parvathy Baul’s soulful singing and mystical poetry meet Brooks’s saxophone improvisations as the two artists explore themes drawn from life, love, nature and devotion.
